This was my least favorite collection.

A possible winner, no, but I thought the woman's commentary was off base in its negativity. Jerell likes playing with different textures and fabrics, and I think he achieved some interesting looks with that heady mix of elements.

Hi Amfancey, I was the commentator, and on review, you might be right. I thought the collection was too tricked out, but there were some interesting concepts. Nobody's perfect! Thanks for writing.

I think this collection could be in the top three. It's definalty dramatic and edgy. It's a much younger asthetic and I think that's what might have put the commentator off. But as a young woman in Los Angeles, I would wear any of the first three outfits that walked down the line. You've got to sparkle and shine in a city of stars.

Hi Anne, I think your commentating was pretty on base. Although I actually love the first piece in the collection with the silver trim coming down the front, I thought everything else was way too tricked out and also somehow frumpy and not very flattering. It looked like way too much for ready-to-wear and yet still didn't seem couture enough for high fashion.

Though I will add that anyone that thinks this is worse than Suede's collection is a little crazy (to caaracer, not you Anne)

I think he's the only one who really took a risk and wasnt exactly boring. He had great ideas, he was unique.

It's my most favorite collection. It's creative, fun, playful, and hippy but sophisticated...

Jerell was my second favorite designer on season five (behind Leanne), but his collection was my favorite. "Way too many looks of the same kind" definitely summarizes Leanne's collection with more emphasis than Jerell's, so I'm thinking there's some ulterior reasoning you've mistakenly attributed to this interpreted hazard of Jerell's collection.

I saw a spectacular blend of variety and consistency to his work which I think surpassed all other designers' collections. I think his looks were younger than the rest (which is likely a suspect in your critique), but he definitely incorporated elegance and presence (which are typically design features of more mature collections).

I'm from the bay area, California, and his looks are very San Franciscan scene.

I personally love everything about Jerell Scott's collection. His looks are unique, intricate, and fresh... If I were famous, I would definitely be wearing his designs. I seriously hope he wins.

Jerell, we love you!

I actually loved this collection. The woman talking kind of made me mad. I mean, with no offense intended, if you look at Jerell's designs in the challenges, it was all very embellished and very...him, especially the challenge to design an outfit based on an astrological sign, which (as a side note) he won, so I don't think it's quite...fair, you could say, to criticize his collection as severely as was done.

Jerell was my absolute favorite of the designers (next was Korto), his designs as previously stated were much more modern and hip and to me appeal more to a younger chic yet sophistated woman. Unlike Leanne whos line looked like the same design with different variations, Jerell gave you something different everytime but never deviating from what I call "the Jerell Factor". I have to say it kind of bothered me to see Leanne and Kinley ahead of Jerell who won the majority of the challenges which clearly showed his potential as an artist and designer. Anywho for anyone thats interested, Jerell recently opened a store called "Jane Doe John Doe"

The most awesome thing Ive ever seen!
