Christian Siriano has been busy since winning season 4 of "Project Runway." He's designing costumes for a movie, "Eloise in Paris," has been on "Ugly Betty" and other TV shows, will be at the Emmy Awards next week, is working on a maternity line, has a book coming out, and of course, he's been finalizing his Spring 2009 collection, which he showed at Fashion Week Thursday night. "I'm doing so many projects! It's crazy," he said.
We caught the show and had some face time with both Siriano and "Runway" mentor Tim Gunn, who raved about the designer. (See photos here)
And what's Siriano's take on this season of "Runway"? He likes the girls, wishes them the best at Bryant Park and is "ready for fabulousness."

Fabulous!! To be that young and have that talent already at this stage, is truly amazing. I would definitley love to wear his clothes. I knew from day 1 on Project Runway, that he had the most innovative ideas and just seemed to be a born designer.

absolutely outstanding. i love the sheer outer layers, the color choices, the light fabrics. definitely ahead of his time. people are going to be dressing like this (maybe 25% more toned down) in the near future, I can tell.

UGH i am so jealos of anyone who saw the show front and center.. and to the person who commented that the garments are hideous: shut up and go back to your closet full of H&M and zara sweaters and quit talking shit

Christian definitely deserves kudos for being a true artist and designer especially at such a young age.
Unfortunately, not looking forward to the direction of these new color palettes in fashion. Gray is the new black and orange is the new red.

The organza outerwear is lovely, did you notice the black, not jsut gray? But the long gowns are painful to look at, the short dresses work, but the hats - get rid of the hats, they either look like My Fair Lady Does Bryant Park or Mr. Potato Head's fedora.
A wonderful collection! Christian is an incredible talent. He shows a range of lovely, very wearable yet smart and sexy clothes to innovative, edgy haute couture - designs meant more to inspire than wear. I know that a lot won't like his color palette, but it's well-suited to my taste.
Christian Siriano's collection is one word....FIERCE! he is so talented and definitely has a way with colors and contrasts. great edginess and use of chartreuse in simple ways! i absolutely love it! breath of fresh air at such a young age! great job:]
